Wanted to check out a new spot with my wife and stumbled across this place. Atmosphere was a delight which was what first drew us in. And then the food came....... THREE CHEESE MONTE CRISTO CAJUN SHRIM CAULIFLOWER PURÉE These two dishes were to die for. My brain still cannot comprehend how the flavors were so good. Never tasted anything like this before. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. And the wait staff just made it that much more of a place I would want to hang out in. Very friendly, help us pick our dishes and checked in us that made us feel right at home!! Thank you PEACOCK PANSY
Excellent food and service! Wasn't able to make a reservation (or couldn't figure out how), but arrived on a Sunday morning around 10 AM and there was plenty of seating available. By 11 AM, however, the place got filled up! This brunch spot has a variety of Asian-inspired breakfast items to offer that make it stand out from the others: every dish we tried here was delicious! We got the crab tom yum omelette, okonomiyaki omelette, and the Peacock Pansy pancakes. The crab tom yum omelette comes with real crab, Gruyere cheese mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes accompanied by a mildly spicy tom yum sauce that you can drizzle over. It also comes with some of the crispiest country potatoes I've ever had and two slices of sourdough toast. The okonomiyaki omelette comes with plenty of shrimp, cabbage, bacon, onions, and mozzarella cheese with Japanese mayo (on the side per request), sweet potato fries, and the above-mentioned sourdough toast. Last, but not least, we shared the Peacock Pansy pancakes - a stack of three miniature gluten-free pancakes topped with white chocolate cream cheese, powdered sugar, fresh fruit, and yuzu sauce with matcha powder. The pancakes were super buttery and had a slight crispy texture and I really enjoyed all the accompaniments that came with it. Would order again! Service was very accommodating. They closed the sunshade blinds and opened the door a smidge to cool down the place as it got more crowded and checked in on us just the right amount and kept our waters refilled. To top it all off, we got 15% off our bill by checking in to Yelp. Even without the discount, I would have happily paid the full amount for the quality of food alone. With it's selection of unique Asian-inspired scrumptious brunch items, accommodating service, and verdant decor, I foresee many more brunch visits in the future. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Lobster Benedict was amazing Turmeric latte was creamy and delicious Clean Good staff Trendy
On Sunday I tried this new spot after having read many positive reviews. We came at the opening time (9 am) and after few minutes other people arrived. We ordered the peacock pansy pancakes and the French toast. My pancakes were good and light (maybe a little pricey). I didn't try the French toast but my husband said they were good and not heavy. The service was a little bit slow but it was ok! The restaurant is nice and the one goes viral on Instagram. I'll get another chance to try also the brunch because it looks yummy.
Cajun Shrimp & Cauliflower Puree 5 cauliflower puree, poached egg, Cajun shrimps, tomatoes, spicy chicken sausage, parmesan, gruyere, mozzarella, scallions, super cheesy, flavorful Lobster Tail Benedict 3 thick dry English muffins, poached eggs, medium juicy lobster tail, arugula, spicy cilantro-lime hollandaise, mild spicy
I just visited this past weekend. It had been on my radar for the last few weeks, so I was very excited to give it a try. We went on a Sunday afternoon and had a 10-15 minute wait for a group of five, which was much quicker than I expected, which was nice. The decor is very Instagrammable, but the interior is small, with tables close together, making it quite noisy. However, I didn't mind. The menu looked very good, and I had a hard time deciding what to order, but I enjoyed myself and plan on returning to try other items. The wait for our food wasn't bad, considering every table was full. I had the strawberry mint cooler, which was very refreshing, but it had a little too much mint for me. My sister had the blueberry cooler, and I preferred that flavor more. For my meal, I ordered the chicken and croffle, which I don't typically go for when I do brunch, but I wanted something savory. It came with an over-easy egg and a side of fruit. I was pleasantly surprised by the two very big and crispy pieces of chicken and the bulgogi sauce on the side. It wasn't spicy, which I liked. I could only eat the egg and one piece of chicken because I got too full. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and can't wait to come back and try other menu items.
This lively brunch spot in the city is super adorable and only a 10 minute walk from the downtown farmar/orpheum theatre. The outside appeared to be very modern but nothing will prepare you for the lovely colors and floral decor that fill Peacock Pansy! Our family of 6 came and were seated promptly (we had made reservations in advance - which is highly recommended to do because they get busy fast!). The menu is overwhelming in the sense that everything sounds good and looks amazing. It was hard to decide what to get, but we ended up trying all sorts of yummies. - Brussels Sprouts were a 10/10; so deliciously charred and seasoned! - Fried Chicken and Croffles 8/10; the flavors were good but the chicken was a bit scratch-your-mouth which wasn't that great. - Peacock Pancakes 9/10; plate was cleared very quickly - Huevos Rancheros 10/10; so deliciously flavorful and the chips were just perfectly crispy. The egg was also medium poached which was amazing! Our table also ordered their guava mimosa (8/10), espresso martinis (1000/10), and lychee martini (8/10). Highly recommend getting the espresso martinis because they are soooo good and pair well with most of the meals! Overall, would definitely come here again with a reservation or stop early for their daily early bird deal (10% off)!
